Project Description
Located on the shores of Lake Memphremagog, this modern design is mainly made of a continuum of bluestone natural stone. Here, it comes in as a trilogy (slabs, steps, walls) and allows us to appreciate the full spectrum and versatility of this noble material. The audacity was even pushed to the surface of the vehicular access, which was completely covered with large format pavement masonry on a slab of structural concrete. As a link between the building and the landscape, granite that was used for the masonry of the residence was integrated into adjacent dry walls. The modern aspect of the project is due to the angular arrangement of the various elements, both vertically and horizontally and reminds us that the use of natural stone is not confined to the classical or country style. The spill pool and glass panels fit into the same register and add a luxurious touch to this chic and natural looking layout.
